These rules take effect from 27 February 2024 (v1.0).
These Individual Sport, Esport & Novelty Rules (“these Rules”) and our General Betting Rules apply to all Bets placed on sport, esport and novelty events. To the extent of any inconsistency, these Rules override Picklebet’s General Betting Rules.
All terms defined in our General Betting Rules (including terms referred to in capital letters) have the same meaning when used in these Rules unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change, amend or add to these Rules at our discretion. Any changes, amendments or additions will be effective immediately on publication on our website.
1. AMERICAN FOOTBALL
In the case of any delay (rain, darkness etc.), all markets remain unsettled and the trading will be continued as soon as the match continues.

2. AUSSIE RULES
2.1 All markets exclude overtime unless otherwise stated.
2.2 If a match is interrupted and continued within 48h after initial kick-off, all open bets will be settled with the final result. Otherwise, all undecided bets are considered void.
2.3 Regular 80 Minutes: Markets are based on the result at the end of a scheduled 80 minutes play unless otherwise stated. This includes any added injury or stoppage time but does not include extra-time.
2.4 In the event of a draw, the 2-way winner market will be pushed as stated in Rule 10.1
3. BASEBALL
3.1 All bets stand regardless of a pitcher change.
3.2 Possible extra innings are not considered in any market unless otherwise stated.
3.3 Unless otherwise stated, all markets require 9 innings of play for bets to stand (8 ½ innings if the home team is leading) except for bets that have already been unconditionally determined.
4. CRICKET (T20 + ODI)
4.1 Cricket markets do not consider super overs unless otherwise mentioned.
4.2 Five-run penalties are not considered in any over or delivery market (markets for multiple overs are not considered for this Rule).
4.3 For ‘Totals’ type bets on Twenty 20 and ODI matches (eg “Total Runs”, “Total Sixes”, “First Innings Total”, “Run Range”, “Team Totals” etc): A minimum of 90% of the entire overs allocated for an innings at the time the bet was struck must be played for markets to be settled unless all innings relevant to the market have reached a natural conclusion.
4.4 If a match is cancelled before any play has taken place, then all markets are considered void unless the match is replayed within 48 hours of its initial starting time.
4.5 If the match is tied and the official competition rules do not determine a winner; or if the competition rules determine the winner by a coin toss or drawing of lots, then all undecided markets are considered void.
4.6 In the event of an over not being completed, all undecided markets on this specific over are considered void unless the innings has reached its natural conclusion e.g. declaration, team all out, etc.
4.7 If markets remain open with an incorrect score which has a significant impact on the prices, we reserve the right to void betting.
4.8 In T20, the 1st innings refers to the 1st innings of batting for each team. If no specific team name is stated then this refers to the entire total combining both teams.
5. POLITICS
General politics rules
5.1 Initial officially declared election results will stand and any subsequent legal or constitutional challenges will not affect settlement or markets. We may withhold settlement at our discretion until any official recounts or reruns have been finalised.
5.2 Markets on the next person to hold a political position, for example, next Prime Minister or next President:
(a) are offered on the basis of "all in, run or not" unless otherwise stated. No stakes will be refunded for reasons of ineligibility, failure to stand, withdrawal, death or any other eventuality.
(b) will be settled based on the next person to permanently fill the role. Temporary, interim or caretaker appointments will not count.
5.3 If there is a merging of two or more of the listed parties, or parties agree to run together prior to an election, then bets on markets involving those parties which have been struck prior to the announcement will be void.
5.4 Seat totals for each party will be settled as declared by the agency in charge of organising, conducting and supervising the election, following the declaration of all seats.
Australian Elections
5.5 Coalition refers to the Liberal Party and National Party.
UK General Elections
5.6 Voter Turnout will be settled on UK wide turnout on polling day. Any subsequent delayed votes or reruns will not count.
5.7 Dead heat rules will apply to any affected markets offered on a party to win the most seats, in the event of a tie. Unless specified, the Speaker does not count and N.Ireland seats do not count.
5.8 In the event a seat requires a re-run for legal or other reasons, the original declared result will stand for betting purposes. This also applies to by-elections.
5.9 Any seat which requires a postponement of the vote to a later date and is not held on general election day, we will still count for purposes of seat totals or majority betting. We may delay settlement of any relevant markets until the result of any affected seats are known.
5.10 For a party to win an overall majority, they are required to win over half of the UK constituencies contested i.e. if 650 seats are contested, 326 are required for a majority.
US General Elections
5.11 Next President markets will be settled on the winner as declared immediately following the general election and not on the person who is inaugurated.
5.12 In cases where there is any ambiguity relating to the result, we reserve the right to wait for the outcome of the subsequent electoral college and, if necessary, congressional votes.
5.13 Bets on total U.S. Electoral College votes will be settled based on the vote in each state (and in each Congressional district in Maine and Nebraska) on the day of the election, and not on the actual meeting of the electoral college.
5.14 Party nominees & Vice-Presidential nominees will be settled on the nominees as declared at the Party Conventions in election year or any equivalent process should the standard convention not take place. Candidates may be added to the market at any time.
5.15 If a Presidential election is delayed for any reason, all bets will stand if an election is held within six months of the original scheduled polling day.
6. ESPORTS
6.1 All esports markets are based on in-game score events or results at the end of a scheduled match/map. All settlements will occur using the official score and results which are declared on the official video stream or the in-game stream of the relevant matches.
6.2 All match start dates and times displayed for Esports matches are for indication purposes only and are not guaranteed to be correct. Bets will stand if a match is offered with an incorrect date and/or time.
6.3 If a match is paused/postponed and not rescheduled to a later time within 48 hours of the actual scheduled start time, then all bets on that match will be voided.
6.4 If the name of a player/team/tournament is misspelled, all bets will still stand unless it’s obvious that the misspelled name is the same as a different entity.
6.5 If a team name is changed due to a team leaving the organization, joining another organization, or due to an official change of team name, all bets will stand.
6.6 If the organizer of the event allows for stand-ins and there is an official result, all bets will be resulted as normal.
6.7 In the case where there is an overruling of a match result by the organiser due to unforeseen circumstances - such as cheating - all bets on that match will be voided.
6.8 If a match has been declared as a walkover win by the tournament organizer, all bets will be void.
6.9 If one team retires during a match, only wagers on the completed individual maps will be resulted. Match market, match side markets and all other undecided map markets will be voided.
6.10 All markets consider overtime, unless stated otherwise in the market name.
6.11 If the match format is changed or differs from the one which is being offered, we reserve the right to void all bets.
6.12 If the fixture is listed incorrectly, we reserve the right to void all bets.
6.13 If a match is played before the scheduled start date / time, all bets placed after the actual start of the match will be refunded. All bets placed before the actual start of the match will stand.
6.14 If a match or map is replayed due to an organizer or technical issues, all undecided markets will be void, replayed matches or maps will be handled separately as new match.
6.15 If the final gameplay length/duration is the same as a particular threshold, it is resolved as OVER (Time Duration Markets).
7. FORMULA 1
7.1 Unless otherwise stated in the market rules, the result at the time of the podium presentation is considered valid for settlement purposes.
7.2 Events being shortened due to weather conditions or other circumstances, but are deemed official by the governing association, will be settled accordingly.
7.3 If a race is postponed to another day (to be determined within UTC time zone) all markets are considered void.
7.4 Unless otherwise stated in the market rules, the dead heat rule will be applied if the number of winners exceeds the expected amount of winning selections for a specific market.
7.5 If one or more drivers have to start the race from the pit-lane, he/they will be ranked at the end of the starting grid for settlement purposes.
7.6 If competitors (which are reflected as dedicated selections) retire in different laps, the number of finished laps is considered for settlement purposes.
8. RUGBY UNION + LEAGUE
8.1 All single markets (except halftime, first half markets, overtime and penalty shoot out) are considered for regular time only.
8.2 All outcomes selected as part of a Same Game Multi are inclusive of Golden Point Extra Time, unless otherwise stated.
8.3 If a match is interrupted and continued within 48h after initial kick- off, all open bets will be settled with the final result. Otherwise, all undecided bets are considered void.
9. RUGBY SEVENS
9.1 All markets (except halftime, first half markets, overtime and penalty shoot out) are considered for regular time only.
9.2 If a match is interrupted and continued within 48h after initial kick-off, all open bets will be settled with the final result. Otherwise, all undecided bets are considered void.
9.3 Regular 14/20 Minutes: Markets are based on the result at the end of a scheduled 14/20 minutes play unless otherwise stated. This includes any added injury or stoppage time but does not include extra-time, time allocated for a penalty shoot out or sudden death.
10. SOCCER
10.1 All markets (except halftime, first half markets, overtime and penalty shoot out) are considered for regular time only unless otherwise stated.
10.2 If a match is interrupted and continued within 48h after initial kick-off, all open bets will be settled with the final result. Otherwise all undecided bets are considered void.
10.3 Regular 90 Minutes: Markets are based on the result at the end of a scheduled 90 minutes play unless otherwise stated. This includes any added injury or stoppage time but does not include extra-time, time allocated for a penalty shoot out or golden goal.
10.4 All statistical markets will use whoscored.com as the verified source for resulting purposes.
11. TABLE TENNIS
11.1 In the case of a match not being finished all undecided markets are considered void.
12. TENNIS
12.1 In case of default or walkover of any player, all undecided bets are considered void.
12.2 In the event of retirement or disqualification, all bets on known results will stand, whilst undecided bets will be void. Match Winner will be settled on the player progressing to the next round regardless of retirement or disqualification. All bets will be void in the event of a walkover.
12.3 In case of any delay (rain, darkness etc.) all markets remain unsettled and the trading will be continued as soon as the match continues.
12.4 If penalty point(s) are awarded by the umpire, all bets on that game will stand.
12.5 In case of a match is finished before certain points/games were finished, all affected point/game related markets are considered void.
