Individual Sport, Esport & Novelty Rules
These rules take effect from 30 March 2026.
These Individual Sport, Esport & Novelty Rules (“these Rules”) and our General Betting Rules apply to all Bets placed on sport, esport and novelty events. To the extent of any inconsistency, these Rules override Picklebet’s General Betting Rules.
All terms defined in our General Betting Rules (including terms referred to in capital letters) have the same meaning when used in these Rules unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change, amend or add to these Rules at our discretion. Any changes, amendments or additions will be effective immediately on publication on our website.
1. Determination of Results
1.1 All Bets will be resulted based on the official declared result by the relevant recognised governing body or event organiser. Should no official results be declared, a bet will be resulted on the result published by the first of the following sources to have a published result for the relevant market (in the order stated): (1) ESPN.com.au, (2) foxsports.com.au or (3) statmuse.com.
1.2 If an official result is not declared within 48 hours after the relevant event has finished, then the bet is void.
1.3 Any disqualification, correction, or amendment to an official result that is declared after a Bet has been settled will be disregarded for settlement purposes. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to amend settlement where an error of fact is identified within 24 hours of initial settlement.
1.4 Where markets remain open with an incorrect score or material information that has a significant impact on the prices, we reserve the right to void affected bets.
1.5 In the event a market is offered with incorrect participant names, opponents, or other material event details due to a human or data provider error, and the intended participant or event is unclear or misrepresented, all bets on the affected market will be declared void.
1.6 In the event that odds are offered incorrectly due to a human, technical, or data provider error, and the price is clearly inconsistent with the true market price at the time of placement, we reserve the right to void any affected bets.
1.7 Dead heat rules are governed by Rule 9 of the General Betting Rules.
1.8 All markets are offered on a ‘quote others’ basis. This means we only offer prices on the selections displayed at the time of betting. If a selection, outcome, or option is not listed, we are not required to offer a price on it, even if it is available with other bookmakers. Additional selections may be added at our discretion upon request, subject to availability and trading approval.
1.9 We reserve the right to void any bets placed after the official start time of a match.
2. American Football
2.1 All bets will be settled on the official result, including overtime, as declared by the NFL or the relevant NCAA governing body.
2.2 If a player is listed as officially inactive prior to the game commencing, all outcomes related to that player will be void. A player is considered inactive if listed as such on nfl.com. Bets on players listed as ‘Did Not Play’ are losing bets.
2.3 Player prop markets require the player to be listed as active. Once confirmed active, all bets stand regardless of snap count.
2.4 Anytime touchdown scorer is resulted on rushing and receiving touchdowns only. Touchdown passes thrown do not count.
2.5 For player match-up markets, both players must be active for bets to stand, otherwise all outcomes are void.
2.6 For Redzone specials and all multi-player daily special markets, all listed players must be active or bets on all outcomes are void.
2.7 All player props and match-long outcomes include overtime unless otherwise stated.
2.8 Any outcomes for the fourth quarter or second half do not include overtime unless otherwise stated.
2.9 Where a result ends in a tie and no price was offered for a tie, bets will be settled in accordance with the Push Rule (Rule 10 of the General Betting Rules).
2.10 In the case of any delay (weather or unexpected interruptions etc.), all markets remain open and trading will continue as soon as the match resumes.
2.11 For outright bets on a team’s win/loss record, all scheduled games must be completed or bets will be void.
3. Aussie Rules
3.1 All results are based on the official declared result available on afl.com.au. These rules apply to AFL, AFLW, and all state league competitions unless otherwise stated.

3.3 Markets are based on the result at the end of four quarters of play, including any injury or stoppage time, but excluding extra time, unless otherwise stated.
3.4 In the event of a draw, the 2-way winner market will be settled in accordance with the Push Rule (Rule 10 of the General Betting Rules).

3.8 For disposal, mark, tackle and other player stat head-to-head markets, both players must take the field for bets to stand, otherwise bets are void. Dead heat rules apply (see General Betting Rules, Rule 9).
4. Baseball
4.1 All bets stand regardless of any pitcher change. Any listed pitchers are indicative only.
4.2 All player props are inclusive of any extra innings.
4.3 All markets, unless explicitly stated otherwise, require at least 8½ innings of play for bets to stand unless the result has already been unconditionally determined.
4.4 If a game is abandoned after 5 innings are complete, head-to-head bets are settled on the score at the end of the last completed inning. Run line and total markets are void.
4.5 If a game is suspended and resumed from the same point within 24 hours, all bets stand. If not resumed within 24 hours, bets placed after the last completed half-inning will be void.
4.6 Total bases are recorded through hits only. Walks, hit by pitch, reach on error, and fielder’s choice do not count.
4.7 In the event of double-headers in the Australian Baseball League (ABL), all Game #1 are 7-inning games and are priced and settled accordingly. All Game #2 are 9-inning games. If Game #2 is shortened to less than 9 innings for any reason, all bets on the run line and total market for Game #2 will be void. All head-to-head bets on Game #2 will stand.
4.8 Where a game results in a tie and no tie price was offered, bets will be settled in accordance with the Push Rule (Rule 10 of the General Betting Rules).
5. Basketball
5.1 All player props are inclusive of any overtime.
5.2 Fourth quarter markets do not include overtime.

5.5 For daily specials or bingo-style bets, all listed players must take the court or all outcomes will be void.

6.2 Should an official or unofficial sanctioning body overturn a fight decision based on an appeal, suspension, lawsuit, drug testing result, or any other fighter sanction, the result as determined on the day of the fight will stand and bets will not be resettled.
6.3 In the event of a ‘no contest’ being declared, all bets will be void, with the exception of selections where the outcome has already been unconditionally determined.
6.4 Where a contest finishes before the scheduled number of rounds due to an accidental injury and the winner is not determined by the judges’ scorecards, all bets will be void unless the result has already been unconditionally determined.
6.5 Where a boxer fails to answer the bell for the next round, their opponent shall be deemed to have won the contest in the previous round.
6.6 In the event of a draw where no draw option was offered, all bets will be void and stakes returned.
6.7 If one of the contestants is replaced by a substitute before the fight commences, all bets on the original bout will be void.
6.8 If there is a change to the scheduled number of rounds, bets based on the number of rounds or referring to a specific round will be void.
6.9 For total rounds markets where half a round is stated, 1 minute and 30 seconds of the respective round defines the ‘half’ for over/under settlement purposes.
6.10 For ‘gone in 60 seconds’ and other minute-based markets, the first minute is defined as 0:00 to 0:59 inclusive, the second minute as 1:00 to 1:59 inclusive, and so on.
6.11 Bets on ‘to win by method’ markets: a TKO includes stoppages by corner retirement, referee stoppage, and doctor’s stoppage. A points decision requires the scheduled number of rounds to be completed.
7. Cricket
7.1 If a player is not named in the starting XI, all bets placed on that player will be void. For the avoidance of doubt: if a batter does not bat but was named in the starting XI, bets on that batter stand; if a bowler does not bowl but was named in the starting XI, bets on that bowler stand.
7.2 A batter who retires hurt from an innings will not be considered as a wicket for settlement purposes. A player who is sent off will be considered retired out and settled as a wicket.
7.3 For ‘Totals’ type bets on Twenty20 and ODI matches (e.g. Total Runs, Total Sixes, First Innings Total, Run Range, Team Totals): a minimum of 90% of the entire overs allocated for an innings at the time the bet was struck must be completed for markets to be settled, unless all innings relevant to the market have reached a natural conclusion (all out, declared, or target achieved).
7.4 For Player Stats markets (Player Runs, Player Boundaries, Player Wickets, etc.): all scheduled overs of an innings at the time the bet was struck must be completed for markets to be settled, unless all innings relevant to the market have reached a natural conclusion.
7.5 For Test match result markets, bets will be settled on the official result at the conclusion of scheduled play on Day 5, including any additional time granted by the umpires. If the match is a draw and no draw price was offered, bets will be settled in accordance with the Push Rule (Rule 10 of the General Betting Rules).
7.6 In the event of a Super Over being required to determine a match result, the Super Over result counts for match winner markets. Markets specifically on innings totals, player stats, or match-long markets will not include the Super Over unless otherwise stated.
7.7 In the event of reduced overs before the match starts, all bets are void. If there is a delay or reduction mid-match, all undetermined player performance markets will be void from the point the reduction is confirmed, unless the innings has already reached its natural conclusion.
7.8 All tournament and match markets will be settled on the basis of the official tournament results and match scorecards as published on the ICC’s official website.

7.12 If a match is cancelled before any play has taken place, all markets are void unless the match is replayed within 48 hours of its initial scheduled starting time.
7.13 If the match is tied and the official competition rules do not determine a winner, or if the competition rules determine the winner by coin toss or drawing of lots, then all undecided markets are void.
7.14 In the event of an over not being completed, all undecided markets on that specific over are void unless the innings has reached its natural conclusion (e.g. declaration or all out).
7.15 If a concussion or tactical substitute replaces a player and that player does not return to the match, their final result will be taken from when they departed.
7.16 If a series for which we did not offer a draw price ends in a draw, bets on the series result will be void.

8.4 If a stage or event is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances, all bets on that stage or event are void.
9. Darts
9.1 If the advertised number of legs or sets in a match is altered, any markets already determined (e.g. first leg winner) will be settled accordingly. Match betting will stand provided the match is decided by competitive play and not by default or walkover. All other bets will be void.
9.2 For 180s markets, only 180s scored during competitive play count. Practice or warm-up throws do not count.
9.3 For ‘most 180s’ and ‘highest checkout’ markets, if a tie is not listed, dead heat rules apply (see General Betting Rules, Rule 9).

For all other titles, the official tournament broadcast is the primary source.
10.2 All match start dates and times displayed are for indication purposes only. If a match starts earlier than scheduled, bets placed after the actual start time will be void; bets placed before the actual start will stand.
10.3 If a match is paused, postponed, or interrupted and not rescheduled or resumed within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, all bets will be void.

10.5 If a team name changes due to a roster change, organisational move, or official rebrand, all bets will stand provided the roster remains substantially the same.
10.6 If the tournament organiser permits stand-ins and an official result is declared, all bets will be settled as normal.

18.11 For a party to win an overall majority, they are required to win over half of the UK constituencies contested.

22.2 All bets placed on soccer, including those stated as 90 mins markets, are based on the result at the end of regular time, including stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included unless explicitly stated, or vital to the market (method of victory, team to qualify etc.).
22.3 In the event of a venue change, all bets on the match will stand unless the venue changes to the home ground of the opposing team, in which case all bets will be void.
22.4 For major tournaments where matches are played at neutral venues, when markets reference Home and Away, the team listed first on the bet slip will be designated the home team.
22.5 For card markets: a yellow card counts as 1, a straight red card counts as 2, and a second yellow card also counts as 1. If a player receives a yellow card, then a second yellow and subsequently a red, the total cards recorded for that player is 3. Cards shown to non-playing personnel (managers, coaches, substitutes) do not count; cards awarded outside of official match time (i.e. at half time or full time) do not count.
22.6 Corner bets are settled on corners taken. If a corner is awarded but not taken due to the end of a period of play or any other reason, it will not count for settlement purposes.

22.8 Own goals are not credited to any player for first goalscorer, last goalscorer, or anytime goalscorer markets.
22.9 A shot on target is defined as a shot that would have resulted in a goal if not saved by the goalkeeper or a defending player. Blocked shots (where the ball is blocked by an outfield player before reaching the goalkeeper) do not count as shots on target.
22.10 A shot hitting the woodwork (post or crossbar) does not count as a shot on target, regardless of whether the shot subsequently results in a goal.
