What is a Quaddie?
A Quaddie (or Quadrella) is a multi-race exotic bet that requires you to successfully pick the winner of four consecutive races.
- Thoroughbred racing: usually the last four races of a meeting.
- Greyhound & Harness racing: usually races 5, 6, 7 & 8.
You can increase your chances of winning by selecting multiple runners in each race. The more runners you select, the more possible combinations. This means you either need to increase your stake per combination or accept a smaller percentage of the overall Quaddie dividend.
What other multi-race exotic products will we offer?
- Early Quaddie (earlier set of four races in a meeting)
- Treble (usually the last three of the Quaddie races)
- Daily Double (usually the 2nd and 4th legs of the Quaddie)
Where are Quaddies available?
Quaddies and other multi-race exotics are available across a single meeting. All codes will have these bet types enabled and will be designated at our discretion.
How are Quaddies paid?
All Quaddies are settled using the Pickle Pool, just like our other exotic bets. You can read more about how the Pickle Pool works here.
How is a Pickle Pool Quaddie calculated?
The Pickle Pool uses a proprietary calculation method based on the Starting Prices (SPs) of the winners in each leg. We adjust these consistently across the field to deliver fair, competitive dividends.
Your payout = (Stake per combination) × (Pickle Pool Quaddie Dividend).
What happens if one of my selections is scratched?
If a runner you’ve selected is scratched, any combinations containing that runner will be void and you’ll receive a refund on that portion of your bet.
Unlike other bookmakers, we don’t apply a “substitute” runner. This means you won’t be left with a runner you didn’t select, or a doubled-up selection in your Quaddie.
When will I get my refund?
If all combinations in your bet are voided, your bet will be refunded to you. If your entire quaddie bet still has any live combinations after a runner is scratched, your refund will be paid at the conclusion of the quaddie, included in your winnings!
What happens if there is a dead heat?
If there is a dead heat in one of the Quaddie legs, we will declare two Quaddie dividends — one for each winning combination.
- If you’ve picked one of the dead-heating runners, you’ll be paid on that winning combination.
- If you’ve picked both dead-heating runners, you’ll be paid twice — once for each dividend.
The dividends will vary depending on the price of the dead heated runners. The bigger priced runner will reflect in the quaddie dividend paid for that combination.
Can I pick more than one runner in a Quaddie leg?
Yes. You can select multiple runners in any leg. Each combination of your selections across the four legs will be treated as its own bet, with its own stake and payout.
How is my stake per unit calculated?
Your total stake is divided by the number of combinations in your bet.
- If you select; 2 runners in Leg 1, 3 runners in Leg 2, 1 runner in Leg 3, and 2 runners in Leg 4, that’s 2 × 3 × 1 × 2 = 12 combinations.
- A $12 total bet would give you $1 per combination.
- A $6 total bet would give you $0.50 per combination.
- A $100 total bet would give you $8.33 per combination
How are my winnings calculated?
Your payout is based on your stake per combination multiplied by the Pickle Pool Quaddie Dividend.
- If the Pickle Pool dividend is $500.00 and your stake per combination is $1, you’ll collect $500.00.
- If your stake per combination is $0.50, you’ll collect $250.00.
- If your stake per combination is $10.00 you’ll collect $5,000
Example Dividend
You place a $1 Quaddie with one runner in each of the four legs:
- Leg 1 Winner: $3
- Leg 2 Winner: $5
- Leg 3 Winner: $2.50
- Leg 4 Winner: $4
Pickle Pool Quaddie Dividend = $241.00
By comparison, if you just multiplied the simple SPs of those runners (3.00 × 5.00 × 2.50 × 4.00), the return would only be $150.00.
The Pickle Pool consistently delivers stronger value than straight SP multiples, ensuring fairer, better returns for Quaddie players.
