The Pickle Pool is Picklebet’s custom-built system for settling exotic bets. It ensures fair and consistent payouts across all racing codes, countries & meetings, using a unique calculation method that offers better value, more often, than traditional tote-linked Quaddies.
What bets are settled using the Pickle Pool?
All multi race exotic bets at Picklebet - Daily Double, Treble, Early Quaddie, and Quaddie - are settled using the Pickle Pool.
How is a Pickle Pool Quaddie payout calculated?
The Pickle Pool uses a proprietary calculation method based on the Starting Prices (SPs) of the winners in each leg. SPs are adjusted consistently across the field to deliver fair, competitive Pickle Pool dividends.
Your payout is determined by the stake per combination multiplied by the dividend paid on your chosen bet type.
Pricing Example
You place a $1 Quaddie with one runner in each of the four legs:
- Leg 1 Winner: $3
- Leg 2 Winner: $5
- Leg 3 Winner: $2.50
- Leg 4 Winner: $4
The Pickle Pool Quaddie Dividend (approx.) ≈ $241.00
By comparison, if you just multiplied the SPs of those runners (3.00 × 5.00 × 2.50 × 4.00), the return would only be $150.00.
How are scratchings handled by the Pickle Pool?
Any combination that has a scratched runner in is refunded in full. That means no double ups with subs or swapping your $26 roughie for a $1.20 favourite. You get the bet you wanted or you get your money back!
