Puntaa Pty Ltd (“Picklebet”) may use Equifax Credit Header data as part of its electronic identity verification process. This check is conducted via our identity verification service provider using data held by Equifax Pty Ltd ("Equifax") for the purpose of verifying your identity to meet our know-your-customer obligations under the AML/CTF Act and to maintain the security of your account.
This Notice outlines how Picklebet collects, handles and discloses your Personal Information for the purpose of verifying your identity using the Equifax Credit Header datasource.
By providing us with your Personal Information and submitting a new account opening request through our Platform, You consent and agree that we may use the information you provide (including Your name, date of birth and residential address) to conduct an identity verification check using Equifax’s Equifax Credit Header in the manner described in this Notice.
1. How we use your Personal Information in connection with Equifax Credit Header checks
We only share this information with our identity verification service provider, who submits it to Equifax to be matched against the Equifax Credit Header datasource. We do not receive any credit-related information about you from Equifax and this check is not used to assess your creditworthiness.
You acknowledge that Picklebet may disclose your Personal Information to Equifax and its related entities for the purpose of performing this identity verification check. Equifax handles your Personal Information in accordance with the Equifax Privacy Policy.
We are required to comply with all applicable laws in connection with out use of this service, including the Privacy Act and AML/CTF Act. You can learn more about how we use your Personal Information from our Privacy Policy.
2. What happens if you don’t provide consent?
Providing consent for your Personal Information to be shared and checked using the Equifax Credit Header datasource is voluntary. However, if you do not consent to this check, you will still need to verify your identity with us to open an account or continue using our products or services.
To open an account and verify your identity without using the Equifax Credit Header check, please contact our Customer Support Team, which will guide you through our document based account opening and identity verification process. If we are unable to verify or re-verify your identity, we may not be able to provide you with our products and services and any account you hold with us may need to operate with restrictions. For example:
For new account opening requests, we cannot open an account for you until we have verified your identity.
For existing accounts, we may place restrictions on your account until such time as your identity can be verified. This may include restrictions on your ability to deposit funds, place bets or withdraw winnings.
