If a specific events completes with more than 1 runner as the winner, a dead heat will occur as the result.
If a dead heat occurs, your betting ticket will be paid out at half face value divided by the number of runners that were tied.
For Example in a golf 3-ball.
Selections:
Player A - 2.00
Player B - 3.25
Player C - 5.00
Both player A and C tied. If a punter had a $100 stake on Player C then a dead heat would occur. This bet would be paid on the calculations stated below.
$100 x 5.00 x 0.5 OR (100 x 5.00) / 2 = $250 Return
There will also be instance where ties occur with more than 2 runners. For example in the above situation, if all 3 players were to tie then the following calculation would occur for a dead heat:
$100 x 5.00 x 0.33 OR (100 x 5.00) / 3 = $165
